As part of the Long Night of Science, the Institute of Geosciences and Geography once again opened its doors to interested visitors. The department of Applied Geology was also represented with several interactive stations and offered exciting insights into the world of groundwater.
From geophysical measurement methods for exploring the subsurface to experiments on groundwater flow and sampling techniques, all the way to the fascinating groundwater fauna, guests of all ages were able to experience the geosciences up close. Our staff answered numerous questions and demonstrated just how diverse research into the valuable resource of groundwater is.
We would like to thank all visitors for their great interest and the many stimulating conversations.
