This year, our projects DiP-FaiReSyst and DiP-SMART Agroforestry attented the 8th Symposium of the European Agroforestry Federation (EURAF). Under the topic ‘Agroforestry in the Heart of Europe’, Dr Julia Pöhlitz and Jan Lukas Wenzel paticipated at the event in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, from 22 June to 25 June to learn about current research and development activities within the European and international agroforestry community. We also strengthened our national and international networking with other agroforestry initiatives, refreshing existing contacts and getting to know new stakeholders. During a field trip, we had the opportunity to learn more about the current agroforestry research activities at ‘Agroscope’ and to visit specific types of agroforestry systems. We would like to thank EURAF and the University of Neuchâtel for organising the event and for their hospitality, and we look forward to new joint activities and future events.
