The Agroforestry Field Day on Wednesday, 18 March 2026 offers all interested parties the opportunity to experience agroforestry in practice and learn more about its potential for climate-resilient agriculture. The programme combines scientific expertise, practical insights and regional perspectives.
Topics of the field day
The day is dedicated to key issues of sustainable land use, including
- How can we make the landscape climate-resilient?
- Legal framework conditions as well as funding and planning instruments
- What are the advantages for agriculture?
- Effects of agroforestry on water balance, erosion control and biodiversity
- Practical experience of planting, maintaining and harvesting agroforestry systems in southern Saxony-Anhalt
- New opportunities for value creation around wood and landscaping

– From 13:00: Demonstration site Agroforst Plotha, Wethauer Landstraße, 06682 Teuchern
On site, participants will receive both theoretical insights and direct impressions of an existing agroforestry system – including the “View of the agroforestry system at the Plotha demonstration site.
Catering will be provided.
