As part of the Geographical Colloquium, the Geoecology working group welcomed Mr Martin Eckhard from the development agencies Region Heide and Lebens- und Wirtschaftsraum Rendsburg in Schleswig-Holstein to give a lecture on Thursday, 5 June 2025.
Mr Eckhard reported in detail on his previous and planned future work on the implementation of various funding programmes for local authorities and regional economic development. The focus was on the various aspects associated with the development, establishment, implementation and value creation of renewable energies and the extent to which these regional transformation processes can be supported.
