Course content – Applied Geosciences & Natural Resource Management (Bachelor & Master)
The Applied Geosciences and Natural Resource Management degree programmes impart practical and scientifically sound skills in the fields of geology, environmental sciences and sustainable resource management. Teaching combines field and laboratory work with methodological principles and specialised specialisations.
Bachelor’s degree
In the Bachelor’s degree programme, students acquire fundamental knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, sedimentology and ecological and resource-related issues. This is supplemented by methodological training in mapping, laboratory analysis, environmental and data analysis as well as practice-orientated excursions and project modules.

Master’s programme
In the Master’s programme, students deepen their knowledge of applied geology, hydro- and environmental geosciences, resource management and methodological and analytical procedures. Research and project-based modules enable them to develop their own questions and work on current scientific topics.
