Prof. Dr Muhammad Mushahid Anwar is Professor of Geography at the University of Gujrat, Pakistan, and currently engaged in research collaboration at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. He earned his Ph.D. in Urban Ecology from the University of Salzburg, Austria, and has over two decades of academic and administrative experience, including service as Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dean at UoG.
His research focuses on urban ecology, nature-based solutions, sustainable landscapes, GIS-based spatial analysis, and climate resilience. He has published widely in international journals and edited the Springer volume Sustainable Landscape for Urban Resilience: Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2025).
