I am a broadly trained palaeontologist and palaeoecologist and work at the CNS of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg as custodian of the Geosciences Collections, including the Geiseltal Collection.

Focus Areas:

Evolution and extinction of fossil and recent island mammals; palaeoecology, taxonomy and biochronology of Neogene and Quaternary mammals (with emphasis on bovids); application of the fossil record to conservation, management and restoration of biodiversity (conservation palaeobiology).
