I am researching thermal energy storage in aquifers (ATES) using numerical methods - with the aim of optimising the efficiency, service life and geological applications of these systems.

Focus Areas:

Life cycle assessment (LCA) of seasonal thermal energy storage (sTES), greenhouse gas reduction, integration of renewable energies, optimisation of sTES technologies, sustainable materials and processes
