She is a researcher in sustainable landscape development with expertise in smallholder farming systems, food security and ecosystem services. Her research focuses on rural development, land-use change, natural resource management, and sustainable food systems. She applies interdisciplinary methods, including remote sensing, GIS and GISCAME, social surveys, and statistical analysis.
Her work spans agricultural landscapes in Ghana and Germany, where she has integrated farmers’ and stakeholders’ perceptions on land use changes into landscape and ecosystem service assessments and modelling to support resilience and sustainable land management. Through this work, she contributes to the development of evidence-based approaches for enhancing ecosystem services and food security.
