She was a DAAD-funded scholarship holder in Ghana. She is doing her PhD in the field of sustainable agriculture with a focus on smallholder farming systems for food security and improved ecosystem services. Her study area is the Ahanta West District and the west coast of Ghana, where massive land use changes are occurring due to oil and gas exploration and commercial rubber plantations, jeopardising food security and ecosystem functioning. Her research interests relate to rural development, land use change, ecosystems, natural resource management and food security. She explores methods such as remote sensing and GIS, GISCAME, social surveys and statistical analyses. Since 1st June 2026, she is working in NetCDA.
