From 24 April to 27 April 2025, innovative concepts for science communication were developed for selected structural change projects in the Central German mining region as part of a Spring School at the Saline Museum in Halle. The Spring School is the prelude to the Open Academy organised by “Science2public e.V.“, which aims to make research visible and actively involve people in social change processes.
With DiP-FaiReSyst and DiP-SMART Agroforestry, two projects of the Geoecology working group are actively involved in the Open Academy. Dr Julia Pöhlitz and Jan Lukas Wenzel were on site at the Saline Museum and presented the respective research focuses and developed and discussed innovative formats for communicating the project content together with science communicators and coaches.
Over the next six months, these formats will be further developed together as a team and supported with impulses, teamwork and creative idea development.
We would like to thank the entire Science2public team for the opportunity and the organisation of the Spring School and look forward to working together in our creative teams.
