Within the framework of the Erasmus+ funded project YHELD – Yemeni Higher Education Leading to Development, a training workshop was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 1 to 4 December 2025 as part of Work Package 4 (Internationalization and Communication).
The activity was organized by UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union in cooperation with Link Campus University (Italy) and CESIE ETS (Italy), with the participation of representatives from Yemeni partner universities, including Ibb University.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the capacities of Yemeni Higher Education Institutions in the areas of internationalization, institutional communication, and participation in international academic programs. During the four-day training, participants worked on developing internationalization strategies, improving communication and visibility, and building national and international cooperation networks.
Representatives of Ibb University actively participated in the sessions and group activities, contributing to discussions on future cooperation and institutional development. The training provided an important opportunity to enhance international relations capacities and to support the integration of Yemeni universities into global academic networks.
This activity represents an important step towards achieving the objectives of the YHELD project and strengthening cooperation between Yemeni and European higher education institutions.
