July/September 2023 | Julia attended the meeting of the working group “Springs and Groundwater” and the 38th annual meeting of the DGL
From 20 to 22 July 2023, the annual meeting of the DGL(Deutsche Gesellschaft für Limnologie e.V.) working group “Springs and Groundwater” took place in Zell im Wiesental, which Julia attended again. This year, the meeting was extended to include a symposium on spring protection in the Black Forest, which was attended by various stakeholders in nature conservation and spring research in the region, as well as anyone else who was interested. Projects on research into spring biodiversity and the protection and sustainable utilisation of springs in the Black Forest were presented. The next day, the working group met to discuss current activities and plan the next meeting. Some springs in the southern Black Forest were explored during an excursion.
From 18 – 23 September 2023, Julia also took part in the 38th annual meeting of the German Society for Limnology (DGL) and presented her research results to date.
