At this year’s GeoTHERM expo & congress in Offenburg, the world’s largest trade fair and congress for geothermal energy with over 280 exhibitors and parallel presentations on shallow and deep geothermal energy, Christoph and Elisa had numerous constructive discussions with companies and researchers from industry and science.
The dialogue ranged from innovative technologies and practical solutions to current research issues. The networking with national and international players was particularly valuable and led to potential new collaborations in the field of near-surface geothermal energy. In addition to professional input, the trade fair also provided space to acquire new projects and discuss current challenges facing the industry.
The working group sees its participation as an important step towards further developing its work and deepening its network in the international geothermal context.
