The project group on raw material petrology is part of the European Centre of Just Transition Research and Impact-Driven Transfer (JTC) and investigates the procurement, processing and recycling of primary and secondary mineral and metallic raw material deposits. The aim is to ensure a secure and sustainable supply of critical raw materials, achieve climate and digital goals and reduce dependence on imports from individual countries. A particular focus is placed on the potential of the regions in southern Saxony-Anhalt.
