We look back on the first German-Central Asia Higher Education and Science Forum 2026 with great pleasure! Thanks to the active participation and inspiring contributions of all attendees, the event became a vibrant platform for exchange and networking. More than 200 researchers and experts explored opportunities for sustainable cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.
It was particularly clear how valuable cross-institutional and interdisciplinary dialogue is for developing shared perspectives in research and practice. Together, we demonstrated our strong interest in long-term collaboration with Central Asia – and laid the groundwork for initiating a cooperation network.
So we are excited to announce that, the next forum will take place from 22–24 February 2027 at the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
