The working group welcomes media attention on the environmental impact of deep geothermal energy in connection with its own work.
Recently a press article was published in the Süddeutsche Zeitung about CO2 emissions from geothermal power plants. Some of the information in the article is based on a publication about the Kirchstockach geothermal power plant near Munich, in which the members of our working group were involved; in addition, our co-authors are interviewed in this press article as experts on the subject. We appreciate the attention to our socially relevant research work, which we will continue to drive forward in the future!
