Im Rahmen seiner Doktorarbeit „Learning engaged cartography – Materialities and practices of collective critical mapping“ erforscht Paul derzeit Methoden des aktivistischen Kartografierens in Zusammenarbeit mit sozialen Bewegungen in Europa und Lateinamerika und fördert einen globalen Dialog über engagierte Kartografie.

Lehre
Meine Lehre befasst sich mit Theorie und Praxis kollektiven kritischen Kartierens, sowie – in Praxisseminaren und Exkursionen zu empirischem Forschen – mit kreativ-künstlerischen Methoden in der Geographie, mit dem methodologischen Ansatz der Aktionsforschung und mit forschungsethischen Fragen betreffend der Positionalitäten und Beziehungen zwischen Forschenden und co-Forschenden.
