Enquiry about the supervision of theses

Before you make an enquiry about support, you should first:

    • Check whether the topic you have in mind fits in with the thematic focus of the department of “Sustainable Landscape Development” or with the courses offered by the lecturers (see Stud.IP). Please refer to the information on the homepage in the sections “Bachelor’s and Master’s theses” and “Research” regarding the research and thematic focus of the chair.
    • Review literature on the topic/topic area to gain an overview of the current state of academic research and discussion. Ideally, you should have already attended a course on the topic and acquired some basic knowledge. (It is generally advisable to attend courses taught by lecturers you are considering for the supervision of your Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis).
    • Summarise your ideas for the Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis in writing on the form below, which you submit by e-mail a few days before the consultation. If you do not submit a written form, you will not be accepted for thesis supervision.
    • Considerthe timing of your thesis.

If you are interested in having your thesis supervised by the Sustainable Landscape Development specialist group, please complete the form below and send it by email to anke.trautmann@geo.uni-halle.de

Please note! This form does not replace the registration of the Bachelor’s Thesis or Master Thesis at the Examinations Office. The forms for the BSc/MSc theses are handed out by the Examinations Office after the admission requirements have been determined.
